Description

A Lamella Clarifier Sedimentation Tank, an inclined plate settler (IPS), is a highly efficient device designed to remove particulates from liquids, particularly in water treatment processes. It is an advanced alternative to traditional settling tanks, improving the sedimentation of suspended solids. The system operates by utilizing inclined tubes or plates, which are set at a 60-degree angle. This setup allows the suspended matter in raw water to accumulate on the bottom of these inclined surfaces, forming a thin layer of sludge. As gravity acts on this sludge layer, it slides back into the sludge suspension, eventually sinking into a collecting bucket.

From there, it is discharged into a sludge pool for further treatment or utilization. Meanwhile, the clarified water rises above the plates, flowing into a collection pipe for discharge or reuse. This efficient process ensures cleaner water with reduced energy consumption, making it a popular choice in primary water treatment.

  • The lamella clarifier can be used as supporting system equipment for water treatment processes such as air flotation and elevating methods and can treat the following kinds of sewage.
  • The removal rate of wastewater, copper, iron, zinc, and nickel-containing a variety of metal products in the electric water can be over 93%, and the discharge standard can be reached after treatment in the inclined tube inclined plate sedimentation tank.
  • The turbidity of coal mines and wastewater can be increased from 600-1600 mg/liter to 5 mg/liter.
